I believe everyone has heard the saying that smoking is harmful to health,
but where is the harm? Why is it harmful? Many people don't really
understand it.
Tobacco smoke contains more than 7,000 chemicals, of which 69 are known
carcinogens. Thousands of scientific proofs that smoking and second-hand
smoke are important risk factors for the morbidity and mortality of lung cancer,
chronic respiratory diseases, coronary heart disease, stroke and many other
diseases.
Smoking is a disease. In medicine, smoking is a chronic nicotine dependence
addiction disease, also known as nicotine dependence syndrome.
Smoking is only harmful to yourself, not to others, is that true?
The harm of smoking and inhaling second-hand and third-hand smoke to us also requires everyone to face
up to it. No matter how tobacco is used, it is harmful to the healthy population of users and even non-smokers,
and there are no harmless tobacco products.
Even inhaling small amounts of tobacco smoke can be harmful to the human body. A complete ban on smoking
indoors is the only effective way to avoid harm.
